Bring FIMBY to your neighbourhood

FIMBY grows one neighbourhood at a time — depth with people you can recognize, not a city-wide signup race.

Who this is for

  • Block captains and engaged neighbours who know their street
  • Community group reps, pastors, and org leaders
  • Anyone who’d help gather 10–20 neighbours and host a low-key intro

What launching looks like

  • Enter your postal code at sign-up — if we’re not live yet, you join the waitlist
  • Check I’d like to help launch FIMBY here so we know you’re a potential launcher
  • When density reaches threshold, the FIMBY team reaches out
  • You go deep with a small circle — coffee on the porch, community room, or block walk — not chasing download counts
  • Optional moderator role with support from FIMBY

Local trust is easiest to build before anyone needs it. The best time to know your neighbours is an ordinary Tuesday.

What you don’t need

  • Tech skills — we’ll walk you through setup
  • Deep pockets — FIMBY is a non-profit endeavour; running costs are met by donations, grants, and community-group contributions, not by you personally
  • A formal nonprofit (unless you’re taking the org path below)

Community groups & churches

Orgs show up as resilience anchors — meals, rides, check-ins, program rhythms — not as content channels. Read the Community Group Agreement, then email us to walk through org setup.

Start with your postal code

Don’t click through to discover you’re not eligible — check right here. If FIMBY is live in your area, you’ll continue into setup. If not, we’ll add you to the waitlist and ask if you’d like to help launch.

Already on the waitlist? Tell us you’re interested in launching at hello@fimby.com or via the sign-up flow’s launch checkbox.
